Week 1: This summer I am going to see my beloved country debut in the Fifa Soccer World cup. But today I went in espn.com and read an article that said which players of every international team were going to miss this world cup. When I read the article it said that Davis Beckham, Michael Ballack, Carlos Costly were going to miss the world cup. I was amazed of the amount of players that were going to miss it. Reporters from Mexico got an interesting fact about this; every player that got injured was using the number 13 shirt.
This week I was called to the national volleyball team I was very excited. To pump us up the coaches showed us the video of the Beijing Olympics volleyball men’s final between USA and Brazil. I was something amazing how they jumped and the intensity of the game. This has to do with English because the reporters were American and was funny how excited they got when USA won versus the team to beat Brazil. Brazilian volleyball is known to be the best in history with Cuba. Most of the players in team were from the Pennstate University Week 3: This week going to practice and movies were my things to do. We went to Anastasias house and watched movies like the book of Eli. I liked to the movie but in some parts was boring. Some of my friends didn’t like it at all and left to Burger King to eat and kill time for the movie to end. I think that I could have ended better. The other movie we saw was Remember Me, this movie is kind of sad, some of the girls even cried. Personally I have only cried in the movie “The Pasion of Christ”.
Week 4: This week I have been reading a book called ‘The Secret’. It’s a really famous book that was written by like 40 people, with the success of how to succeed in life. My mother recommended this book because I have been having trouble in the academic part of my life, and I want this school year to be a really good year in school and in sports. I really liked this book and hope that helps me and I am going to try to apply it in my life, I recommend this book to everyone of any age.
Week 5: This week I traveled to visit my brother in Ann arbor, and we are both going to New York and surprise my sister that is in an internship in a really famous company called HOK. We went to many places in New York like in the picture we are in the Rockefeller Building, the view is amazing from the 86th floor. The elevators are so fast in 10 seconds the get like 25 floors it’s amazing. We also went to The Empire State building, and to various museums, my sister made us walk like 40 blocks just so that we saw the structure of a museum we almost kill her!
Week 6: I went back with my brother to Ann Arbor, he showed me his entire University! It’s impressive how big the University of Michigan is. He took me to the ‘Big House’ which is their football stadium; it’s the biggest collage stadium it can hold up to 110 thousand people! Its HUGE, but the only thing that I did not like was the colors of the university because it’s the colors that the EIS. Oscar (my brother) took me to the best yogurts in Michigan, you choose your flavor and then put whatever you want like chocolate chips, gummy bears, Oreos, coconut, it was awesome! They charge you for how many the yogurt weighs; they charged me 6 dollars for the yogurt I ate. I do not regret it because it’s the best I’ve eaten. Week 7:
This week we went to Maria Genie’s house and we saw the movie ‘My Sisters Keeper’ it’s a really but rough movie. It made Maria cry a lot, and It almost made me cry, my sister told me that when she saw this movie she cried from 12 o clock until 4 In the morning! I could not believe it but you could tell the redness in her eyes next morning. This movie moved us all, and after it I wanted to go and hug both my brother and my sister and regret all the bad stuff I’ve ever done to them.
Week 8: This last week my brother’s roommate from freshman year came and visit us here in Honduras. We took him to Copan to see the Ruins and to the bird park which is beautiful. We had to speak in English all the time because he does not understand Spanish; this was something new for us. In Copan we went to my cousin’s house and we played Fifa; he kicked my but at it I was really mad. My brother was also mad because in the university nobody beat him and when we played in the PS3 he kicked all of our butt’s which was not expected. He was actually laughing at me because on Wednesday I was going to school and he is going with my brother and his friends to Roatan!
